tina pāde anuprāsa dekhi anupama

eka pāde nāhi, ei doṣa 'bhagna-krama'

SYNONYMS

tina pādein three lines; anuprāsa — alliteration; dekhiI see; anupama — extraordinary; eka pādein one line; nāhi — there is not (alliteration); ei doṣa — this fault; bhagna-krama — deviation.

TRANSLATION

"There is extraordinary alliteration in three lines of the verse, but in one line there is no such alliteration. This is the fault of deviation.
