āra dine prabhāte lañā nija-gaṇa
śrī-haste sabāra ańge lepilā candana
SYNONYMS
āra dine — on the next day; prabhāte — in the morning; lañā — taking; nija-gaṇa — His personal devotees; śrī-haste — by His own hand; sabāra ańge — on everyone's body; lepilā candana — smeared pulp of sandalwood.
TRANSLATION
The next day, early in the morning, the Lord took His personal associates with Him and, with His own hand, smeared sandalwood pulp on their bodies.
