śrī-śuka uvāca
iti saḿsmṛtya saḿsmṛtya
nandaḥ kṛṣṇānurakta-dhīḥ
aty-utkaṇṭho 'bhavat tūṣṇīḿ
prema-prasara-vihvalaḥ
SYNONYMS
śrī-śukaḥ uvāca — Śukadeva Gosvāmī said; iti — thus; saḿsmṛtya saḿsmṛtya — intensely and repeatedly remembering; nandaḥ — Nanda Mahārāja; kṛṣṇa — to Kṛṣṇa; anurakta — completely attracted; dhīḥ — whose mind; ati — extremely; utkaṇṭhaḥ — anxious; abhavat — he became; tūṣṇīm — silent; prema — of his pure love; prasara — by the force; vihvalaḥ — overcome.
TRANSLATION
Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Thus intensely remembering Kṛṣṇa again and again, Nanda Mahārāja, his mind completely attached to the Lord, felt extreme anxiety and fell silent, overcome by the strength of his love.
