tathāpi purī dekhi' tāńra 'vaiṣṇava'-ācāra
'śiṣya' kari' tāńra bhikṣā kaila ańgīkāra
SYNONYMS
tathāpi — still; purī — Mādhavendra Purī; dekhi' — after seeing; tāńra — of the brāhmaṇa; vaiṣṇava-ācāra — behavior like a Vaiṣṇava; śiṣya kari' — accepting him as his disciple; tāńra bhikṣā — food offered by him; kaila ańgīkāra — accepted.
TRANSLATION
Although the brāhmaṇa belonged to the Sanoḍiyā community, Śrīla Mādhavendra Purī had seen that he behaved like a Vaiṣṇava and had therefore accepted him as his disciple. The food he had cooked had also been accepted by Mādhavendra Purī.
